    :الملخص (بالعربية) أنار البحث الموسوم بالنزعة التأملية في الشعر العربي الحديث إيليا أبو ماضي أنموذجا طريقا خصبا كشفت عن الأبعاد الدلالية والفنية للنزعة التأملية. ومن خلال وقوف على الروافد التاريخية والفكرية التي ساهمت في ظهور النزعة التأملية عند الشاعر، فضلا عن هجرته لأمريكا الشمالية وإحساسه بالإغتراب مما دفع الشاعر إلى التأمل في الظواهر الكونية خاصة الطبيعة، النفس البشرية والخلود. وكان المنهج التحليلي للقصائد التأملية محركا قويا لمفهوم التأمل في اللغة والإصطلاح. الكلمات المفتاحية: التأمل- النزعة- الطبيعة- الشعر العربي الحديث. Résumé (en Français) : La recherche intitulée la tendance contemplative dans la poésie arabe moderne a révélé une voie fertile dévoilant les dimensions sémantiques et esthétiques de cette tendance prenant le modèle du poète Elia Abou Madi. En se tenant sur les tributaires de l’historique et de l’intellectuel, qui ont contribué à l’émergence de la tendance contemplative du poète, ainsi que de sa migration en Amérique du Nord et à son sentiment d’aliénation, qui ont amené le poète à réfléchir aux phénomènes cosmiques, particulièrement à la nature, à l’âme humaine et à l’immortalité. L’approche analytique des poèmes contemplatifs a été un moteur puissant de la signification du concept de méditation dans la langue et la terminologie. Mots clé : Contemplation- tendance - nature - poésie arabe moderne. Abstract (en Anglais) : The present research entitled the contemplative tendency in modern Arabic poetry highlights a fruitful path that revealed the semantic and aesthetic dimensions of the contemplative tendency taking the poet Elia Abu Madi as a sample. It is by standing on the historical and intellectual tributaries, which contributed to the emergence of the poet’s tendency in addition to his migration to North America and his sense of alienation, which prompted him to reflect on the cosmic phenomena, mainly nature, the human soul and immortality. As such, the analytical approach of contemplative poems was a powerful engine to unveil the broad and specific meanings of the concept of meditation (contemplation).
