(2016-06-13) HANAFI Salah; Encadreur: FELLAH Mohammed-Karim
Résumé (Anglais) : Nowadays, the static converters as the multicellular structure occupy several application areas. This structure has great potentialwhich allows it to be competitive among the other multilevel conversion structures existing in the market and used in high power industrial applications. This work aims the study and the control of the multicellular inverters to ameliorate its functioning. In the first place, it’s given a quick overview of the different multilevel energy conversion structures. Then, a presentation and a modeling of the three topologies of the multicellular converter (series, stacked and parallel) introduced. After modeling, several control techniques in closed loopare applied to the flaying capacitor multicellular DC/AC converter (FCMC) and the stacked multicellular DC/AC converter (SMC). These control strategies have been grouped into two categories. The first concerns the controls in duration. The second concerns the control in amplitude. Thereafter, a study is conducted about the different magnetic coupling techniques with ICT (Inter-Cells Transformers) of the liaison inductances which constitutes the parallel multicellular converter (PMC). Thus, two controls in closed loop (the first one in duration and the other in amplitude) are used to control the PMC with magnetically coupled cells in order to regulate the currents through the liaison inductances. At the end of this thesis, an assessment about the realized work and a list of prospects are prepared.

(2021-09-29) DOURARI Ahmed Lamine; Encadreur: FELLAH Mohammed-Karim
Abstract (English) : The problem of harmonic pollution in electrical networks including High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) links is becoming more and more worrying with the increasing use of non-linear loads. Active power filtering is one of the most effective solutions to this problem. As a first step, a descriptive and comparative study between the passive and the active filter allowed to justify the choice of the latter. In the second step, the hybrid filter was applied to eliminate the technical disadvantages of the passive filtering solution, and reduce the economic aspect of active filtering. The control of the active filter used in this work is based on two and three level inverters. It has been, then, studied for different techniques of harmonic identification namely: the method of instantaneous powers (pq) and the method of synchronous reference frame (dq). The sliding mode control has been proposed to improve the performance of the active filter and its control. These obtained simulation results clearly show that good performance is achieved with the hybrid filter of a three-level sliding mode controlled inverter when connected in parallel with the non-linear load at the rectifier side and the inverter side in the HVDC system.
