Les mots clés : dépollution, polycondensation., des polymères phénoliques linéaires p-substitué, cycliques, esters dérivés, catalyseur acide homogène et hétérogène et activité antibactérienne Abstract (en Anglais) : The main objective of our work is to synthesize phenolic polymers and their derivatives in order to clean up contaminated water. First, we synthesized linear p-substituted, cyclic phenolic polymers and esters derived from the latter by reacting monoacids and diacids in the presence of a homogeneous and heterogeneous acid catalyst by a proposed mechanism of polycondensation reaction. The resulting polymers were characterized by various spectroscopic methods such as : 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DSC and FTIR. Secondly, we studied the adhesion of synthesized polymers to pathogenic bacteria. The polymers obtained were used against faecal coliform bacteria (TC), thermo tolerant coliforms (CTT), and faecal streptococci (ST). The antibacterial activity of these resins was achieved by methods (quantitative and qualitative). In general, the polymers synthesized showed significant antimicrobial activity against the microorganisms tested. Keywords : depollution, polycondensation reaction , Phenolic polymers and their derivatives, homogeneous ,heterogeneous acid catalyst and antibacterial activity
