Abstract
Abstract (en Anglais) : In this thesis, we report a study on the structural, elastic, electronic, magnetic and thermodynamic properties of Full - Heusler X2LuSb compounds (X = Mn and Ir) using first-principle calculations and applying the generalized gradient approximation Perdew, Burke and Ernzerhof GGA -PBE for electron exchange and correlation. The GGA + U approximation was also used to determine the effect of the Hubbard correction on magnetic and electronic properties. From the results obtained for structural properties, our two compounds are stable in regular structure and ferromagnetic states. The elastic properties showed the conformity of the elastic constants with the stability criteria and the ductile nature of the two compounds. This mechanical stability is preserved over the interval 0-50 GPa. The use of the two approximations GGA and GGA + U, showed the effect of the Hubbard correction applied to the two atoms Mn and Ir on the variation of their magnetic moment.
