Résumé (Français et/ou Anglais) : Abstract. The pollution of water by certain Bacterial Pathogens has been the cause of some diseases. As result there is an increase in the demand of new devices for the water treatment. One of the possibilities to avoid this phenomenon is the development of materials having an antibacterial activity such as polymers. Indeed the use of polymers biodegradables having an antibacterial activity offers an advantage of minimizing the problems of contamination of the environment especially that of the water pollution by the chemical agents with low molecular weight. In this study, we aimed to a coupling between a chemical synthesis of polymers poly(ester-amide)s biodegradable and a study of their antibacterial effect opposite some bacteria water-born such as staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The poly(ester-amide)s were synthesized through the reaction of Poly(Ethylene Adipate) and Adipic Acid with bisoxazoline as chain extender. The polymers were analysed with FTIR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy and were confirmed to possess final compositions very similar to the initial feed compositions.Biodegradation studies were carried out by incubating the poly(ester-amide)s with Aspergilus Niger and basilus subtilis for 48H at 30°C. The degradation was assessed by using the method of estimation of the growth of bacteria. The antimicrobial activity of the prepared polymers has been tested against the three bacteria by using three methods: agar disc diffusion, determination of minimum inhibitory concentration, The Minimum Bactericidal Concentration and in the water. The results obtained showed strong antibacterial activity against staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, whereas it was less active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The prepared polymers were found to inhibit both gram-positive and -negative bacteria. The activity was varied according to the tested microorganism as well as the polymer microstructure. The results of this study suggest that these novel antimicrobial polymers show promise for use in the field of biological water treatment. Keywords: water; bacterium; poly (ester-amide); biodegradation, antibacterial activity. Résumé (Français et/ou Anglais) : Title:Physico-chemical modification of polymeric matrices by microencapsulation process for the piroxicam controlled release. Summary: In the present research, new formulations based on piroxicam(PRX), active ingredient with anti-inflammatory activity and poorly water soluble molecule, have been prepared by the microencapsulation by solvent evaporation process. Microspheres were elaborated using pure PRX and polymeric matrices (EC, EC/HPMC) at different compositions and stirring speeds. In addition, the main objective was to enhance the drug solubility and at once to control the drug release. So, inclusion complexes of PRX-β-cyclodextrin were prepared by dissolution-solvent evaporation and by dispersion and therefore encapsulated in EC and EC/HPMC mixture. The obtained formulations of pure PRX or modified PRX were characterized using different techniques (XRD, FTIR, optical spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy). Various release profiles were obtained and the release mechanism was identified by modelling using Higuchi and Korsmeyer-Peppas models. The results are remarkably promising and in addition, using the methodology of design of experiments, the effect of some process variables such as the polymer matrix and stirring speed was quantified and evaluated by modelling using the Minitab software 16. Key words: Piroxicam, complexe inclusion, microencapsulation, ethylcellulose, β-cyclodextrin, controlled release.

Abstract The optimization of the drug incorporation and the drug release constitutes one of the major stakes in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. The main objective of this work is to study the release of the following active ingredients: Antipyrine, Ketoprofen and Procaine from different dosage forms based on biodegradable and biocompatible polymers (PCL and PLA) and theirs interactions. Abstract (in English) : Abstract The undertaken work in this thesis focuses on the kinetic study of the release of some heterocyclic primary amine active agents in a reconstituted heterogeneous medium pH = 1.2 and at 37 ° C from various galenic forms type Microspheres. The first part concerns the release of the primary amine from different Microspheres formulations loaded with 2-aminobenzothiazole (2-ABZT), 2-aminopyrimidine (2-AP), carrier monomers IM1 and IM2. The results showed that the pure encapsulated active agents (2-AP and 2-ABZT) in EC based-matrix Microspheres are more easily released than the Schiff bases monomers IM1 and IM2 used as encapsulated supports. The second part is interested in the technique of microencapsulation by the simple-emulsion solvent evaporation process in order to develop new PABA Microspheres systems. The effect of variables process parameters as the nature of the matrix, PABA:EC ratio, agitation rate, surfactant nature and concentration on the Microspheres properties (surface and morphology, mean Sauter diameter, size distribution, encapsulation efficiency and release rate) has been studied. The surface and morphology of the microparticles were observed by scanning electron microscopy SEM. After that, the obtained Microspheres were characterized by IR, DSC and DRX. The mathematical modeling of the obtained release data demonstrates that the release of the active agent is controlled by diffusion. Thus, the diffusivity values are calculated according to the analytical solutions proposed by Fick's laws.
(2018-04-19) Moulessehoul Atika; Encadreur: Harrache Djamila
Abstract Precipitation of phosphorus naturally present in water, in the form of struvite (MgNH4PO4.6H2O), is an interesting alternative for water treatment. This process makes it possible both to decontaminate waters rich in phosphates and to produce a compound that can be used in agriculture. In this context, the objective of this PhD is to develop an analytical approach for the recovery and recovery of phosphorus in the form of struvite applied to the treatment of phosphate water. This study consists, firstly, in determining, at constant temperature, the optimum pH conditions favoring the maximum efficiency for crystallization of the struvite in terms of conversion and purity. In order to do this, a synthetic effluent containing PO43- , NH4+ and Mg2+ ions in equimolar proportions served as a model solution for studying the role of pH on the effectiveness of struvite precipitation as well as on crystal growth. The experimental tests were carried out by precipitation in stirred tank with a kinetic monitoring by conductimetry, at a constant temperature maintained at 25 ° C. and at a pH varying in a range between 8.5 and 11.8. Under the ideal conditions which appear from the previous results, we have continued this work, using real effluents (urban wastewater, industrial effluents and natural waters). Various methods for the analysis of solid and liquid phases (spectrophotometry, IRTF, SEM, DRX and FRX) have been used. The specific contribution of this work is of technological and economic interest by contributing effectively to the recovery and upgrading of the phosphorus contained in the polluted waters.
