Abstract (in English) : Abstract The undertaken work in this thesis focuses on the kinetic study of the release of some heterocyclic primary amine active agents in a reconstituted heterogeneous medium pH = 1.2 and at 37 ° C from various galenic forms type Microspheres. The first part concerns the release of the primary amine from different Microspheres formulations loaded with 2-aminobenzothiazole (2-ABZT), 2-aminopyrimidine (2-AP), carrier monomers IM1 and IM2. The results showed that the pure encapsulated active agents (2-AP and 2-ABZT) in EC based-matrix Microspheres are more easily released than the Schiff bases monomers IM1 and IM2 used as encapsulated supports. The second part is interested in the technique of microencapsulation by the simple-emulsion solvent evaporation process in order to develop new PABA Microspheres systems. The effect of variables process parameters as the nature of the matrix, PABA:EC ratio, agitation rate, surfactant nature and concentration on the Microspheres properties (surface and morphology, mean Sauter diameter, size distribution, encapsulation efficiency and release rate) has been studied. The surface and morphology of the microparticles were observed by scanning electron microscopy SEM. After that, the obtained Microspheres were characterized by IR, DSC and DRX. The mathematical modeling of the obtained release data demonstrates that the release of the active agent is controlled by diffusion. Thus, the diffusivity values are calculated according to the analytical solutions proposed by Fick's laws. Abstract Precipitation of phosphorus naturally present in water, in the form of struvite (MgNH4PO4.6H2O), is an interesting alternative for water treatment. This process makes it possible both to decontaminate waters rich in phosphates and to produce a compound that can be used in agriculture. In this context, the objective of this PhD is to develop an analytical approach for the recovery and recovery of phosphorus in the form of struvite applied to the treatment of phosphate water. This study consists, firstly, in determining, at constant temperature, the optimum pH conditions favoring the maximum efficiency for crystallization of the struvite in terms of conversion and purity. In order to do this, a synthetic effluent containing PO43- , NH4+ and Mg2+ ions in equimolar proportions served as a model solution for studying the role of pH on the effectiveness of struvite precipitation as well as on crystal growth. The experimental tests were carried out by precipitation in stirred tank with a kinetic monitoring by conductimetry, at a constant temperature maintained at 25 ° C. and at a pH varying in a range between 8.5 and 11.8. Under the ideal conditions which appear from the previous results, we have continued this work, using real effluents (urban wastewater, industrial effluents and natural waters). Various methods for the analysis of solid and liquid phases (spectrophotometry, IRTF, SEM, DRX and FRX) have been used. The specific contribution of this work is of technological and economic interest by contributing effectively to the recovery and upgrading of the phosphorus contained in the polluted waters.
Mots-clés : Eaux usées, Pesticide, Diuron, Adsorption, Oxydation Catalytique, Argile Sodée, Argile à Piliers d'Aluminium, Peroxyde d'hydrogène Abstract (en Anglais) : The phenylurea herbicide Diuron: 3‐(3,4‐dichlorophényl)‐1,1‐diméthylurée is categorized as a probable human carcinogen by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This research is focused on the adsorbent and the catalytic performances of a local Montmorillonite (Mont-Na), for the elimination of Diuron in aqueous solutions. The materials were characterized before and after processing using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, specific surface area (SBET), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), elemental analysis, and thermal analysis (TGA/DTA). The surface charge was determined by measuring the point of zero charge. The adsorption experiments are carried out on Mont-Na at 45 °C, then on Mont-Na at pH = 11, and finally on pillared clay (PILC-Al). With 1 g of Mont-Na added to 50 mL of Diuron (20 mg / L), the equilibrium is reached after 5 hours and the adsorption capacity is between 0.74 mg/g at 45 °C and 0.91 mg/g at pH = 11. On 0.01 g of PILC-Al at 25 °C, it is 100 mg / g at pH = 6.3. The kinetic modeling shows that the pseudo-first order describes the experimental data of the Diuron adsorption on Mont-Na and PILC-Al and the equilibrium data were modeled perfectly by applying the Elovich model. The thermodynamic quantities indicate that the adsorption process on Mont-Na and PILC-Al is spontaneous (ΔG <0) and endothermic (ΔH = 31.80 kJ.mol-1, ΔH = 25.53 kJ.mol-1, respectively). Next, the optimal conditions for the catalytic degradation of Diuron in an aqueous solution with H2O2 using (Mont-Na) and PILC-Al as the catalysts were determined. The initial concentration of Diuron used was 20 mg/L, Diuron/H2O2 (1:1 molar ratio). Tests with H2O2 without Mont-Na or PILC-Al provided a 32 % conversion rate after 8 h. However, a mixture of 1 g Mont-Na and H2O2 increased the conversion rate to 91 % after 180 min. The total Diuron disappearance was demonstrated through the use of high-performance liquid chromatography using a UV-vis detector (HPLC/UV-vis). The only by-product obtained in small quantities is: 3,4-dichloroaniline (DCA). The basic pH = 9 and pH = 11 gives a 72.5 % of degradation onto 1 g of Mont-Na after 150 min in the experiment, and 65 % after 90 min with 0.01 g of PILC-Al. On the other hand, the increase in temperature decreased the degradation rate of Diuron. In conclusion, under the operating conditions used, local sodium Montmorillonite and pillared clay proved to be excellent materials for the adsorption and heterogeneous catalytic degradation of Diuron in aqueous solutions. They could be very promising for sewage treatment. Keywords: Wastewater, Pesticide, Diuron, Adsorption, Catalytic Oxidation, Sodium Clay, Al-pillared Clay, Hydrogen peroxide
Abstract (en Anglais) : The objective of this work is to study the behavior of purified and modified calcic bentonite (from Mostaganem) towards certain industrial dyes (methyl green, dianix rubine, dianix navy). The purified bentonite was converted into sodium bentonite to obtain Na-bentonite and then modified using Al3+ and Fe2+ cationic species in order to modified interlayer space or layer surface and then increase the basal d-spacing. The materials have been calcined in order to ensure high capacity to fix metal ions and then characterized by BET, XRD, SEM-EDS and FTIR. We have examined through the adsorption of dyes from aqueous solutions, the influence of various factors, including contact time, pH adsorbent dose initial adsorbate concentration and temperature. Thermodynamic factors for the process of adsorption were also calculated. The adsorption of methyl green onto all our adsorbents was found to be spontaneous and endothermic in nature. All the results showed the effectiveness of the treatment what the bentonite suffered for the removal of industrial dyes. This is justified by high surface area materials, the presence of negative charges on the surface, the possibility of cationic exchange and the increase in the interfollicular space with the increase in reticular network Keywords : calcic bentonite, industrial dyes, adsorption, interfollicular space.
- ItemTransestérification hétérogène d’huiles végétales sur bentonite modifiée(2021-06-30) EL AHMAR Radjaa; Encadreur: KACIMI Soufi; Co-Encadreur: ZIZI ZahiaAbstract Bentonite clay from Maghnia (Algeria), very rich in montmorillonite (~ 90 %) purified and intercalated with pillars Al2O3, Al2O3-NiO and Al2O3-CoO, was yapplied as catalyst for the conversion of a mixture of castor oil-ethanol to biodiesel. For the characterization of thecatalysts, several physico-chemical analysis techniques are used (SEM –EDS, XRD and FTIR). The pillared clay with Al2O3-CoO (10%) led to 98% ester conversion. The highest yield of biodiesel production was obtained at 1/15 molar ratio of oil/ethanol, a temperature of 250 °C and 7.5 wt% of catalyst. This behaviour was ascribed to a synergetic effect of the largest surface area developed in the clay and the highest catalytic activity of cobalt in basic medium. The catalysts re-usability experiments revealed that the pillared clays were safely re-used three times without losing their original catalytic effectiveness. The kinetics calculations demonstrated that the transesterification of castor oil in an excess of alcohol using the pillared clay as catalyst followed a pseudo first order kinetics. The biodiesel produced exhibited comparable fuel properties as those of classical fossil diesel. Keywords: bentonite, pillared clays, castor oil, ethanol, transesterification, biodiesel.
